British luxury fashion retailer Joseph UK engaged Sinvin to relocate the brand from its outpost at 68th and Madison to its new 3,000-square-foot Upper East Side flagship at 1061 Madison near 81st Street. Joseph was interested in a truly unique space, and found just that at 1061 Madison, which offers double-height frontage on the avenue.
In order to maintain a New York presence during construction on the Madison Avenue flagship, Sinvin guided Joseph to a temporary store at 72-76 Greene Street in SoHo. The SoHo store performed so well that the brand decided to sign a long term lease for the space in January 2014. Now occupying 7,350 square feet in its SoHo flagship, it’s hard to believe the brand originated at a small boutique attached to a hair salon. Joseph UK currently has 22 stores in the UK, six in Paris, plus two stores in New York.
