Two Retail Leases Signed at 229-243 West 60th St

June 13, 2011

Two new retail concepts have signed leases at The Sessanta and The Adagio, the newly-constructed residential towers at 229-243 West 60th St.

Pawsitively Love, a pet store that sells accessories and offers grooming, boarding and walking services, leased 1,580 square feet at 229 West 60th Street, while salon owner Stephanie Xu leased her first nail salon at 243 West 60th Street. The 1,427-square-foot salon will offer manicures, pedicures, eyebrow waxing and a host of other services.
Rick Johnson of NYCRS represented Pawsitively Love; Sinvin’s JOSH BOWLING represented the nail salon.
More than 13,500 square feet of community and retail space sit at the base of the buildings, situated between Amsterdam and West End Avenues on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Winick Realty Group LLC president Steven E. Baker and associate Sam Mann are marketing the eight retail and community-use availabilities on behalf of West End Enterprise.

Remaining retail and community spaces range from 1,248 to 3,435 square feet and 589 to 1,808 square feet, respectively, and feature high ceilings. The leasing firm says day care centers, medical facilities and other dry-use tenants have expressed interest in the spaces.
