Brazilian waxing and eyebrow sculpting chain to open first U.S. outpost on Spring Street; aims to find great fit for the Singapore-based brand.

A Singapore-based Brazilian waxing and eyebrow sculpting specialist is opening its first U.S. location in SoHo.
Strip USA signed a 10-year lease for 3,300 square feet of retail space at 56 Spring St., between Mulberry and Lafayette streets. The new location, which will operate as Strip – Ministry of Waxing and Browhaus, will occupy the entire 2,200-square-foot ground floor, plus 1,100 square feet of basement space. The asking rent was $153 per square foot.

“The Spring Street location made sense for Strip because the company’s image and aesthetic lends itself both to SoHo’s style and NoLIta’s edge,” said Sinvin Realty broker DANIEL ALESANDRO, who represented the tenant in the deal along with his colleague CHRISTOPHER OWLES. “56 Spring St. fits the brand perfectly,” he said.
Strip operates more than two dozen shops worldwide, mostly in Asia, in addition to its European flagship, which is located in London.

Landlord Spring 56 Realty represented itself with in-house principals David and Noam Shemel.
