SoHo Lease for France’s “Coolest Man”

June 28, 2006

Tunisian-born Jean Touitou, labeled the “Coolest Man in France” by GQ magazine has leased 1,600 square feet on the third floor of 110 Greene Street, aka The Soho Building, for A.P.C., his minimalist fashion brand.

“Touitou, A.P.C. already has a popular store at 131 Mercer,” says Kristin McCann, Associate Director of Sinvin Realty, the broker who represented the tenant in the transaction. “Their operation has grown tremendously and they finally needed a separate showroom and office.”

The lease terms are not being disclosed, but the landlord had been asking $40 per square foot for the space. The landlord, Goldman Properties, was represented by Zack Tagoni of Goldman Properties. The tenant occupied the space in March of 2006.
110 Greene Street is an 11-story building that dates from 1916 and has a powerful street presence in the neighborhood. Other tenants in the building include Donovan & Yee Law Firm, LLP, Drumbeat Digital, Fortune Footwear, Mama Media, Nasty Little Man, Puma, and Anne Fontaine.
