Rappaport closes lucky 13 on 13th St.

November 14, 2012

Sinvin Real Estate announced that senior managing director Steven Rappaport has leased another restaurant space on East 13th Street, his second on the strip.

The 10-year deal marks his 13th transaction this year so far.

At 22 East 13th Street, formerly City Tavern, Rappaport represented both sides in the lease negotiations: landlord, Trevi Retail, and Tenant, the upcoming All’onda, a Venetian risotto-focused eatery headed by Altamarea alum Chris Cannon and Chef Chris Jaeckle.

The 1,600 s/f ground floor comes with a 1,200 s/f parlor floor and a 1,000 s/f basement. The space boasts huge bay windows and plenty of exposed brick. The reported asking rent was $27,000 per month.

“The warm and rustic feel to the space matches that of the block which is lined with distinctive 19th Century townhouses,” said Rappaport.

“Close also to Union Square and NYU, this block has become a new Greenwich Village restaurant destination; already there are Taboonette, Corkbuzz, Joe’s Coffee and Souen.”

Across the street, at 17 East 13th, Maison du Croque Monsieur just opened in a two-story building.

Rappaport represented the landlord, CB Developers in that 12-year lease, while Winick Realty Group represented the tenant.
