Pizza Stars Right Fit For Village Space

By Unknown | February 16, 2017

Detroit-style square pizza specialist, Emmy Squared, is set to open in the former Blue Ribbon Bakery space at 33 Bedford Street in the West Village.

Steve Rappaport, senior managing director at Sinvin Real Estate, represented Emmy Squared in its lease of the space, which includes 1,000 s/f on the ground floor with a 2000 s/f lower level with seating and kitchen.

According to Rappaport, the space is “one of the most charming” in the West Village. He said, “The lower level has private dining in a wine cellar, a kitchen and the oldest and largest wood burning oven in New York City.

“We were besieged with offers from the moment we put this space on the market. We took our time finding the right restaurant. We wanted to make sure we found a restaurant that would serve the neighborhood and make good use of the historic ovens.

“When we met the people from Emmy’s we knew that they were the perfect fit.”

Asking rent for the space was $25,000 a month. The landlord is 500 Turtles LLC.
