Nail Salon Scratches Out Spot on Ludlow

By Emily Laermer | September 20, 2011

Think Pink Spa to bring luxury nail treatments to “tremendously underserved” Lower East Side neighborhood.
Think Pink Spa has inked a lease for its fourth Manhattan outpost. The high-end salon is taking 2,640 square feet at 188 Ludlow St., between Stanton and East Houston streets. Though the lease began last week, the tenant will not move into the space until renovations are completed, which is expected by the end of the year.

“It’s a tremendously underserved clientele in the Lower East Side,” said STEVE RAPPAPORT of Sinvin Real Estate, who represented the tenant. “It’s at the base of a very large luxury building, and the Lower East Side has no luxury nail salon.”

Think Pink Spa offers manicures, pedicures and services for nail tips and extensions. A mani/pedi combination at its existing shops can cost upward of $40.

Think Pink Spa has other posts in SoHo, Greenwich Village and the Plaza District. The asking rent for the space, which includes space on the ground floor and basement, was $115 per square foot. Landlord Edison Properties was represented in-house by Lenny Lazzarino.
