One of the world’s first professional make-up brands will be opening its inaugural New York City location. Kryolan Professional Make-Up recently inked a 10-year deal for an office at 277 Bleecker St., at Jones Street.
Kryolan signed on for 1,970 square feet on the ground and lower levels of the Greenwich Village building. The annual asking rent for the spaces was about $165 per square foot.
“Bleecker Street between Sixth and Seventh has always been a stellar location,” said Steve Rappaport, the senior managing director of Sinvin Real Estate who represented landlord Croman Real Estate. “With rents escalating to prohibitive levels going west on Bleecker, this section is seeing a migration of tenants.”
Kryolan, which first opened in 1945, has locations in San Francisco, Chicago and Boston. The company produces mostly theater-related makeup and serves customers in more than 80 countries worldwide, according to their website.
The company is hoping to open its Bleecker office within the next three months, according to Mr. Rappaport. David Baker of Isaacs and Company represented Kryolan in the deal.
