Chef picks Plum site

December 12, 2012

Sinvin Real Estate announced that senior managing director Steve Rappaport has arranged a lease for Michelin-starred chef, Wylie Dufresne, of wf-50.

Dufresne is gearing up to open this second project at the old Plum Pizzeria at 157 Second Avenue in the East Village.

The 1,500 s/f space, which will be a 50-seat pub by the name of Adler, comes with 800 s/f of basement space, and outdoor seating on 25 ft. of the Avenue. The asking price was reportedly $150 per ground-floor square foot. Almost 10 years remains on the assigned lease.

“The store sits across the seat from Michael White’s Nicoletta, and a block away from Momofuko empire, making it a welcoming home for Wylie’s genius,” said Rappaport, who represented both sides in the transaction.
