Between The Bricks

By Lois Weiss | September 6, 2007

Between the BricksIn TriBeCa, Murray Sarway, Joseph Pell Lombardi and Mas Management are in contract to buy the historic, six-story 401 Washington St. and adjacent 414 Greenwich St. on the southern side of Laight Street.

The Washington corner is “a hotbed of activity,” said Lombardi, who has already “touched” the other corners with redevelopments at the 1970 project at 76 Laight St., the United States Sugar Building at 79 Laight; and the design of the new 414 Greenwich, a.k.a. 78 Laight, for the Basile Builders Group.
Lombardi also designed 408 Washington at Hubert Street for Basile.

Basile Builders just moved its headquarters from Bay Ridge to 321a Greenwich St. to follow their many area condo developments, which include 47 E. 34th St., 125 W. 22nd St., and 55 Vestry St.

Roxanne Betesh of Sinvin brought Basile to the office, which was on the market through Peter Howard of Prudential Douglas Elliman for $6,000 a month.
